Individual pension schemes must also be adapted to the Future Pensions Act (Wtp). That is why we are starting the transition of individual employees to a Wtp-compliant pension solution. We will inform advisers and employers about this.
Individual pension schemes for employees must be converted to a pension scheme that complies with the Wtp by 31 December 2027 at the latest. After that date, we will no longer administer the scheme. That is why it is important to look ahead to a new pension scheme that complies with the Wtp.
Timeline for the transition to the new scheme
We will start converting this group to a new Wtp-compliant pension scheme in October 2026. We ask advisers to speak with the employers concerned. Together, you will determine which solution best suits the employer and their employee(s).
What options are available?
We will soon offer employers two Wtp-compliant solutions:
Both products comply with the Wtp. For a group with one employee, we expect that Zwitserleven Nu Pensioen in many situations could be a suitable solution. Given the limited time until 1 January 2028, a scheme with grandfathering may be a practical choice for many employers. This route involves shorter preparation periods than a full transition to a scheme without grandfathering.
Naturally, the employer and the adviser will decide together which scheme best suits their situation.
