Finally, a simple answer to the simple question: 'How is your pension doing?'

Pensions are a hot topic, especially due to the new pension law that is frequently in the news. Yet, for many people, pensions remain complicated and distant. Zwitserleven is changing that with a first: as the first pension insurer in the Netherlands, they are offering an online platform that provides immediate insight into your total pension, including pensions with other providers. Finally, you get a clear answer to the question: how is your pension doing?

Making pensions understandable With the transition to a new pension system, over a million Dutch people will retire in the next five years. Zwitserleven, together with Proudies, an online platform for those over sixty, investigated how people are prepared for retirement. It turns out that a whopping 46.8% of people are not ready financially and emotionally. By offering a complete overview and communicating in understandable language, Zwitserleven helps make pensions more accessible. People thus gain more awareness of the difficult topics surrounding pensions.

Step by step to retirement Many people often don't know how to retire or what they need to do. That's why Zwitserleven has created a special "Almost Retired" section on their website for the target audience retiring within five years. Here, visitors are guided step by step through the retirement process. They receive a personal pension overview and useful tools like the Pension Predictor and Pension Checklist, gaining more insight into their pension income. Signing up for a pension with Zwitserleven can also be done easily online.

What's unique is that all topics are written in ways that everyone can understand, with short videos explaining in one minute how all the possibilities work.

Making pensions ordinary for everyone “Zwitserleven wants to give everyone, regardless of the size of their pension, control over their financial future, whether they are about to retire or just starting out. We understand that many Dutch people find it a difficult subject. That's why we want to make pensions ordinary. By simplifying it, adding emotion, in understandable language, with handy tools that give our customers insight into their financial situation during retirement. So they can have influence and the confidence to make the right choices,” says Geneviève Ho Sam Sooi, Director Personal Solutions & Marketing at Zwitserleven.

Zwitserleven will further develop its website based on the wishes of its visitors. Zwitserleven customers now get a preview of the latest development: a collaboration with the Pension Register Foundation for an even faster complete overview. This will make it possible to get a complete and current overview of your pension in one minute.
